Madrid February 4, 2024. Grupo Agrovin continues its commitment to the development of products that help winemakers to improve winemaking processes and ensure a higher quality of their wines. The group has recently developed Clarifine Proyeast, a natural fining agent based on Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast proteins, 100% vegan, organic and allergen-free, which joins the wide range of fining agents in its portfolio of winemaking products.

 

Its respectful extraction process allows obtaining a yeast protein with an average molecular weight higher than 15 KDa, suitable for the clarification of white, rosé and red wines.

 

Thanks to the use of Clarifine Proyeast during the winemaking process, the winemaker can obtain cleaner wines with greater brilliance in the case of white and rosé wines. In both cases, we obtain wines with a cleaner nose, cleaner aromas and a perfect balance between unctuousness and acidity.

 

Clarifine Proyeast is an organic, allergen-free and 100% vegan fining agent, so it can be used for the production of organic wines, according to European and NOP regulations. It is also an alternative to animal fining agents.

 

The dosage of Clarifine Proyeast varies according to the type of wine. Thus, for the production of white and rosé wines, the recommended dosage is between 1 and 7 grams/hectoliter. In the case of red wines, the recommended dosage is between 2 and 10 grams/hectoliter. Grupo Agrovin recommends its use together with fining adjuvants such as bentonite, silica sol or tannin to optimize the fining process.
