Silisol is a colloidal solution of 30% silica particles in aqueous phase. Its use improves the compaction of the clarification lees, accelerating sedimentation. In the flotation process it allows to form compact flocs quickly.
Its application in any type of must, usually associated with Vinigel gelatine and Maxibent bentonite, allows fast and efficient flotation.
It is advisable to use it in white wines with high protein instability in which it is necessary to use a high dose of bentonite to stabilize the sample. The prior addition of Silisol ensures less aromatic loss and, above all, greater lees compaction.
