VALENCIAN CAVA IS PRESENT ONCE AGAIN AT ITS ANNUAL EVENT IN THE CITY OF VALENCIA
- The 7th edition of the Cava Trade Fair will be held on 22, 23 and 24 November at Colón Market.
- A cava cocktail workshop and a cava and caviar pairing workshop are among the main activities.

Once again, Valencian cava takes over Colón Market in Valencia for one of its most important events of the year. With Christmas just around the corner, the product par excellence at every celebration lands once again at this iconic setting, backed by the high scores that specialised critics grant year after year to the cavas produced in the vineyards of Requena. The 7th edition of this event launches on Friday 22 November, an event that has attracted the Valencian public in its previous editions. The event ends at 3 pm on Sunday 25 November. Organised by the Association of Cava Producers of Requena, this year the event brings together eight Valencian wineries ((Coviñas, Chozas Carrascal, Dominio de la Vega, Hispano Suizas, Pago de Tharsys, Torre Oria, UVE and Murviedro).
The fair has established itself as a special occasion for the Valencian public to meet “their cavas” in an idyllic location. Valencian cava has already reached a production of close to 9 million bottles, proving that Requena has very advantageous climatic and soil conditions for the production of this sparkling wine, making this town the “heart of Valencian cava”. Proof of this is that Valencians are in the top positions of the most important cava competitions worldwide.
This year, access to the event is granted by purchasing a € 10 ticket which the visitor can exchange for two glasses of cava, two glasses of reserve cavas and something to eat. It also includes a screen-printed wine glass to take home as a souvenir. In the food section, various stands at the Colón Market will have a special offer during the fair. For example, Ma Khin Café, Mi Cub, Suc de Lluna, Cervezas del Mercado, Martin&Mary, Manglano and Casa de l’Orxata will be present at the event with a wide gastronomic offer.
There will also be two workshops this year, both on Saturday. The first one will be a cava cocktail masterclass, led by Iván Talens, one of the top bartenders at the national level. The second one will be an explosive caviar and cava workshop that will be held at Mi Cub. The tickets cost € 25 and include tasting 4 caviars from 4 different countries and 4 cavas.
This year’s event is sponsored by BMW Engasa as the official car, and also by Agrovin, Grupo Cooperativo Cajamar, Generalitat Valenciana and the Requena City Council.
