3rd DICA Conference
SOLAGRO INGENIERÍA ALIMENTARIA and the Union of Agricultural Cooperatives of Toledo (UTECO) organised the 3rd consecutive DICA Conference aimed at disseminating innovation in the agricultural cooperative sector in the region of Castilla La Mancha (Spain).
The event was attended by many public figures, over 400 representatives from 200 cooperatives in Castilla La Mancha, including company presidents, managers, oenologists, etc. as well as service and machinery companies from the wine and olive oil sectors.
The main aim of this edition, which was held on 27 March, was to publicise and provide information to cooperatives on new lines of technological innovation, new cooperative trends, and new challenges in markets and the marketing of products. This was done through presentations and networking sessions with the idea of making this information available to producers and thus increasing the competitiveness of the agri-food industry in Castilla La Mancha.
This edition of the DICA Conference was separated into two sectors with two different areas, one for olive oil and one for wine. Technical and marketing talks were carried out in these areas, as well as tasting of the products.
AGROVIN was one of the conference sponsors with an information booth to answer attendees’ queries.
In addition, our colleague from the technical department, Luis Cotanda Santapau, gave a presentation on the use of ultrasound in winemaking with the PERSEO equipment.
