Madrid, April 26, 2022.
Agrovin Group, a leading global company in innovation in the wine sector, has been invited to participate in Green Wine Future, the most important world congress on the environment and climate change in the wine sector, to present Ultrawine Perseo, the most innovative and eco-sustainable system developed by the group, designed to mitigate the effects of climate change on wine quality through the application of ultrasound.
The international summit, which will take place from May 23 to 26, will be attended by the world’s leading wine personalities and experts, including Isaac Rabadá, Director of Operations at Grupo Agrovin. Rabadá will be responsible for showcasing the sustainability benefits of Ultrawine Perseo, one of the solutions developed by the group’s R&D&I department to help wineries become more efficient by optimizing their resources and production processes.
In the words of Isaac Rabadá, “it is an honor for us to participate in such a major international event, alongside the most renowned opinion leaders and experts in the world of wine. This event confirms that Ultrawine Perseo is one of the most innovative and efficient systems we have developed to date, and encourages us to continue working on research to offer solutions to the industry and remain leaders in the sector”.
About Ultrawine Perseo:
Ultrawine Perseo has been developed by the Agrovin Group’s Technology Department, in collaboration with researchers in Agrochemistry and Food Technology at the University of Murcia and the University of Castilla-La Mancha, and has been approved by the OIV (International Organization of Vine and Wine) for the use of ultrasound technology as a permitted oenological practice.
The use of ultrasound in winemaking improves the sensory qualities of the wine, respecting the varietal character of the grape and resulting in more aromatic, structured wines with better body.
This innovative system, which has been patented in the USA and New Zealand, is designed to improve wine quality and optimize winemaking processes through the use of ultrasound. At the same time, it mitigates the effects of climate change on grape ripening, controlling the alcohol content and enhancing the quality of the grapes to obtain a high-quality wine.
It was developed in response to the need for wineries to be more efficient and reduce the use of energy and resources in the production process without compromising quality, Compared to the traditional maceration method, Ultrawine Perseo reduces maceration time by up to 50% and energy consumption by 15%, due to the low consumption of its components and the fact that it does not require the use of temperature for extraction.
